Monday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball season came to a close in the Substate Semifinals. The Go-Hawks lost to Mt. Vernon 9-4. The Go-Hawks got down 8-1 and pulled within four runs but couldn’t completely come back.
Waverly-Shell Rock finished the season 21-12 and champions of the Northeast Iowa Conference.
