Former Faith Leader Guilty

A former faith and community leader who served on the committee to redesign the Waterloo Police Department logo has been found guilty of sexual misconduct with a 15 year old girl, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 43 year old Jamodd Sallis was convicted by a jury of Lascivious Acts with a Minor. Sallis showed the girl his genitals and touched her inappropriately in his bedroom until the girl mentioned that Sallis had children her age and she wanted to stop. He faces up to 1 year in jail but also faces two more sex abuse cases. Sallis faces a charge of Statutory Rape after fathering a child with a 15 year old girl in 2021. He has also been charged with sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl when her family visited Sallis’ family. Both of those trials are set for October.
