Convicted Sexual Predator Suing Woman for Claiming He Was a Sexual Predator

A former Waterloo youth leader and committee member for the rebranding of the police department who has been convicted of Lascivious Acts With a Minor and is awaiting trial for allegedly having sexual contact with a 12 year old is suing the chairman of Cedar Valley Backs the Blue and former mayoral candidate, Margaret Klein, for calling him a sexual predator, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 43 year old Jamodd Sallis says in the suit that Lynn Moller’s group, Cedar Valley Backs the Blue, put out a mailer that read, “We don’t need a mayor who appoints sexual predators to police advisory boards.” The mailer referenced Mayor Quentin Hart’s appointment of Sallis, before the accusations, to the committee to rebrand the police department. Sallis’ lawyer is arguing that Sallis was only awaiting trial at that time and had not been convicted of the crimes. Sallis’ home was subsequently broken into and he allegedly suffered psychologically and physically. Hart would defeat Klein in the mayoral election.
