Tuesday night on KWAY Country the 6th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock girls beat Dubuque Senior 64-12 to tip off the season. Brenna Bodensteiner led a balanced attack with 16 points.
Tuesday night in high school bowling the Waverly-Shell Rock boys beat Columbus by 32 pins. Junior Jameson Toma fired a 390 series. On the girls side the Go-Hawk topped the Sailors by 205 pins as junior Carley Ator had a 316 series.
The Iowa Print Writers Association named its Football All-State Teams and the Go-Hawks were well represented. In Class 4A Caden Hotz of Waverly-Shell was on 1st team and Andrew Mohan and Benny Ramker were on 2nd. For the complete list visit our social media pages.
