The Waverly Shell Rock Board of Education has provided an update in their search for the superintendent that will succeed Ed Klamfoth. 19 candidates have been identified, including six from outside the state of Iowa. 16 of the candidates are male, two are female, and one chose not to answer that question. Seven of the candidates hold an Ed.D or a Ph.D. Seven others have a specialist or six year degree. The six top candidates from that pool will be interviewed tomorrow and formal interviews will be held with the finalists on February 1st. The new superintendent will take over on July 1st.
