The Waverly Shell Rock Superintendent race is down to two candidates as one finalist has taken another job. Jason Wester, who is currently the superintendent at Tipton, has taken his name out of the running as he has accepted the superintendent position at West Burlington. The Waverly Shell Rock Board of Education still plans to interview the two remaining finalists on Thursday. Those candidates are David Hill, the current superintendent at North Tama and for superintendent at Union, and Anthony Ryan, the current superintendent and director of special education at East Marshall. Whichever one is selected for the position will take over at the helm of the district on July 1st.
