Tuesday night on KWAY Country the 2nd ranked Waverly-Shell Rock girls beat 14th ranked Western Dubuque 43-37 to advance to State for the 7th time in school history and the 6th time under Coach Greg Bodensteiner. The Go-Hawk have now won a school record 23 games and in the win Katelyn Eggena joined Aftin Phyfe as the 2nd member of the 600 Rebound Club for W-SR.
The Go-Hawks will be the 2-seed and will face 7-seed Sioux Center on Tuesday. Coverage on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 will begin at 2:15 with tip-off at 3:15 in Des Moines.
