Thursday night on KWAY Country the 2nd ranked Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball team won a thriller to advance to the Sub-State Final. The Go-Hawks were down 8 points to Gilbert going into the 4th quarter before fighting back to win 80-73. Noah Frazell led all scorers with 27 points in the victory.
The Go-Hawks will play Monday against Grinnell in the Roundhouse in Marshalltown for a chance to go to State. Our coverage on KWAY Country will start at 6:45 with tip-off at 7:00.
