Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys won an overtime thriller over Pella 65-64 to advance to the State Semifinals. Senior Jude Landers hit two huge free throws to force the game to go into overtime and senior Noah Frazell hit a free throw to give the Go-Hawks the one point win. Cole Marsh led the Go-Hawks with 17 points and 14 rebounds in the win. The win was coach Nate Steege’s 300th in his career.

The Go-Hawks will play MOC-Floyd Valley on Thursday after the Dutchmen beat Bondurant-Farrar 67-50. The Roling Ford Pregame Show will start at 2:45 with tip at 3:45.

In other 3A games Tuesday Decorah beat Williamsburg 66-42 and Assumption topped Ballard 84-73.

In Class 2A Hudson edged Grundy Center 55-51 and Unity Christian got by Underwood 59-55.

The Cedar Falls Tigers will play Bettendorf Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 in the Class 4A quarterfinals.
