Thursday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys hit 12 3-pointers and Luke Frazell led the way with 31 points as the Go-Hawks beat MOC-Floyd Valley 76-66 in the State Semifinals.
The Go-Hawks, who began the year 0-2, will play today for a State Championship. 22-3 Waverly-Shell Rock will play the 18-8 Davenport Assumption Knights. Coverage begins with the Roling Ford Pregame Show at 4:00 with interviews with Nathan Miller, Collin Aikey, Tyler Gade and Collin O’Brien. The game will tip off at 5:00 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
The other State Championship matchups look like this: In Class 1A at 1:00 North Linn faces Marquette Catholic, at 3:00 for the Class 2A crown Hudson plays Western Christian and at 7:00 Cedar Rapids Kennedy battles West Des Moines Valley for the 4A title.
