A missing kayaker on the Upper Iowa River has been identified as a Frederika man. The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office says the search for 39 year old Justin Limkemann continues despite high water levels forcing them to alter their efforts. Limkemann went missing on Saturday. His capsized kayak was found in the middle of the Upper Iowa River just below the Upper Dam on Sunday. Searchers also recovered several items belonging to Limkemann. The sheriff’s office says they will continue to search for Limkemann over the next several days as conditions allow.
