The Waverly Shell Rock School District has named its next Middle School Principal. Stacy Meisgeier will take over for the outgoing principal, Jeremy Langner. Meisgeier is currently the Principal of the Lied Center and the WSR Residential program. Meisgeier began her career in education in 2007 as a special education teacher in Illinois. Her family moved to Waverly in 2012 where she accepted a similar role at the middle school. In 2017 she was selected as an Instructional Coach and has served in her current role since 2020. Meisgeier got her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Ambrose University, her master’s degree from Aurora University, and is currently pursuing her Certificate in Advanced Studies from the University of Northern Iowa. She says she is looking forward to leading and collaborating with students, families, and staff to ensure the best possible educational experience for students. She also says she is committed to cultivating trust and respect, empowering others, and learning together.
