A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a Waterloo Community School District truck on Sunday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say 24 year old Elijah White got into the truck at the district parking lot around 4:30 on Sunday afternoon. He allegedly damaged a fence and lock as he drove it off the lot. About a half hour later an Iowa State Patrol trooper pulled White over on Interstate 380 in Buchanan County. White admitted to the trooper that he did not work for the school district. He was charged with first degree Theft and third degree Criminal Mischief. In November of 2022 White stole a Chevy Silverado that belonged to the City of Cedar Rapids. Police found the truck at a mobile home park in Cedar Falls.
