The Board of Regents has voted to raise tuition and give the presidents of Iowa, Iowa State, and UNI significant raises, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. UNI President Mark Nook will get a raise of $25,000, meanwhile Iowa’s Barbara Wilson and Iowa State’s Wendy Wintersteen both got raises of $60,000. The bump to Nook’s salary will bring his annual base pay to just short of $400,000. Wilson and Wintersteen both get considerably more, both over $700,000 per year. Just after raising the presidents’ pay the board approved a raise in tuition at all three universities. Tuition and fees at UNI for resident undergraduates will now be just shy of $10,000. At Iowa State that price is nearing $11,000 and is already over $11,000 at Iowa.
