On July 17th Waverly-Shell Rock will be involved in a mediation with representatives from the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls Athletic Union. Waverly-Shell Rock is petitioning to join the WAMAC in the 25-26 school year. If no solution is found in the mediation the department has 60 days to come up with a solution. Charles City and Decorah will be having mediations the same day at the same location. Charles City wishes to join the North Central Conference and Decorah wants to be part of the Upper Iowa Conference in the 25-26 school year.
