Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys wrestling team secured a trip to State Duals. The Go-Hawks beat Dubuque Hempstead 57-17 after receiving a first round bye. The Go-Hawks will wrestle Saturday at Xtream Arena at State Duals on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. Also at State will be Southeast Polk, Indianola, North Scott, Johnston, Bettendorf and Carlisle.
In Class 1A Don Bosco and Nashua-Plainfield qualified for State Duals.
The Waverly-Shell Rock girls wrestling team will compete at State this Thursday and Friday with action starting at 10:00 each morning. The Go-Hawks girls will have a send-off Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the high school. You can hear the girls at State on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
