The trial for a Waterloo police officer who was charged in connection with what authorities say was a road rage incident, begins Tuesday
Court records say 45-year-old Corbin Payne pled not guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury.
Authorities have said Payne, a lieutenant with the Waterloo Police Department, accused the driver of another vehicle of cutting off the car Payne was riding in June 12. Authorities say he struck the other vehicle and grabbed the driver.
