Golf Results, Players of the Week, Football in Polls

Monday in men’s college golf the Wartburg Knights finished 7^th at the DuHawk Invite. Vaughn Tyler finished tied for 5^th place with a 148.

Three Wartburg athletes have been honored by the American Rivers Conference. Lance Sobaski has been named the Men’s Runner of the Week, Jaxson Hoppes was named the football Special Teams Player of the Week and Waverly native Sam Roose was named the football Defensive Player of the Week.

Sam Roose was also named to the d3football.com Team of the Week. That is a national award.

The Wartburg football team is in the rankings. The Knight hold the #10 spot in the d3football.com rankings and fell from 10^th to 11^th in the AFCA poll despite being undefeated. The Knights will play at Simpson on Saturday on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
