Wartburg kicker and punter Jaxson Hoppes was named the American Rivers Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the second week in a row. Hoppes was also named to the d3football.com Team of the Week. It’s the second week in a row a Knight has been honored. The honor came after he kicked a school record 84 yard punt against Simpson.
The Wartburg football team has risen two spots to #9 in the AFCA Poll. The Knights were ranked 9th in the preseason poll.
