Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Janesville basketball teams swept Tripoli. In the girls game Janesville won 54-32 despite finishing with only four players on the floor. Keke Smith led all scorers with 16 points. In the boys game the Wildcats thumped the Panthers 71-49. Janesville’s Talen Pletz scored 31 points in the win.
In other girls basketball Tuesday night: Clarksville hammered Rockford 61-43, Hudson thumped Columbus 61-31, Denver beat Aplington-Parkersburg 50-39, Don Bosco topped Riceville 45-38, Dunkerton crushed Cedar Ridge Christian 83-21, Oelwein beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 69-58 and Union topped Wapsie Valley 41-31.
In boys basketball: Columbus beat Hudson 56-43, Aplington-Parkersburg topped Denver 59-48, Don Bosco ran by Riceville 79-41, Cedar Ridge Christian edged Dunkerton 64-61, Sumner-Fredericksburg hammered Oelwein 73-32 and Union beat Wapsie Valley 59-49.
