Thursday at Girls State Wrestling in Class 2A Waverly-Shell Rock advanced four girls to the State Semifinals. Amalia Djoumessi at 170 pounds, Camille Schult at 125, Kambree Westendorf at 105 and Makena Miller at 140 pounds still have State Championship dreams alive.
In Class 1A Denver’s Abigail Peterson at 100 pounds, Kennedy Burk at 190, Lilli Cooper at 130 and Violet Diaz at 110 advanced to the semifinals and the Denver Cyclones are in 4th place as a team.
