The hour has yet to strike midnight on the Wartburg College Women’s Basketball team as the unranked Knights (23-7) have advanced to the Elite Eight of the Division III Women’s basketball with a 70-66 win over regional host #8/#9 ranked St. Thomas on Friday night. The knights were led by Katie Sommers with 13 points, with Kristie Sommer chipping in 12 points. St Thomas was led by Kaitlin Langer who tallied 27 points. The Knights will next take on #5 University of Texas at Tyler (30-1) who defeated #2 George Fox (30-2) in an 81-77 overtime game earlier Friday Night. The Elite Eight game will be at 7pm on Saturday Night at St Thomas University with the winner advancing to the Final Four
