One of Waverly’s water wells, the east well, has been found to have PFAFs or forever chemicals. The city has been working on a solution and public works director Justin McGlaun says they are taking the next step in that process.
McGlaun says the goal is to get a new well and hopefully a reverse osmosis treatment center. As of now the city believes that will cost $12-15 million dollars, which is why they are applying for grants and forgivable loans from the state.
