Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys soccer team edged Vinton-Shellsburg 1-0 at home to go to 3-6 on the season. Sophomore Hudson Sundberg’s first goal of the season was the game winner with 18:06 left.
In other Go-Hawk results Tuesday: Girls soccer beat Decorah 6-0, girls track scored 93 points to win at Dike-New Hartford, boys tennis lost to Cedar Falls 7-2, girls golf fell to Waterloo West 212-176 and boys golf shot a 329 to finish in 7th place on the road.
Wednesday the Waverly-Shell Rock boys tennis team will play Newton and Pella in Pella.
