Three State Champions were crowned at State Soccer on Saturday. Saturday in Class 1A on KWAY Country the Hudson Pirates and Denver Cyclones were scoreless through regulation and overtime before Hudson beat Denver 4-1 in a PK shootout. Denver’s Addyson Shepard and Grace Mullihan were named to the All Tournament Team.
In Class 2A North Polk, the team that beat Waverly-Shell Rock in the quarterfinals, beat North Scott 1-0. Waverly-Shell Rock’s Anaka Ott was named to the All Tournament Team.
In Class 3A Waukee Northwest beat West Des Moines Valley 2-1.
