The Black Hawk County Supervisors have approved an agreement for the construction of a joint law enforcement crime lab, according to KWWL. The new facility will be located between 5th and 6th streets in Waterloo in the space vacated by Keystone Automotive. It will include a dedicated lab office, specialized forensic processing and a garage designed for comprehensive evidence processing. An architecture firm is currently working on the design of the new facility.
