The Wartburg Lacrosse team lost to Benedictine 8-5 Monday in Waverly. Sophia Corpstein scored a hat trick for the Knights in a losing effort. It was just the second loss of the season for the Knights who fall to 5-2 on the season. Wartburg will look to bounce back as they host the University of Dubuque. Game time is Tuesday afternoon at 4:30.
| Wartburg senior Megan Howe was named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She helped the Knights to a 2-0 mark last week and scored five goals in the Knights’ 14-4 win over Carroll and added seven goals in a 15-6 conference win over Cornell College. Howe’s seven goal performance against Cornell College set a new single game school record. |
