Thursday at a State qualifying track and field meet in Waverly: the Vinton-Shellsburg boys won while Waverly-Shell Rock was 4th and the Decorah girls won while the Go-Hawks were 5th. Top two finishers for the Go-Hawk girls were: Grace Hoins in the 400 meter dash, Haley Beckert in the 100 meter hurdles and the 400 hurdles, Grace Reyerson in the high jump and the shuttle hurdle relay team. Top two finishers for the Waverly-Shell Rock boys were: the distance medley team, the 4×100 meter team, the 4×200 meter team, Rodrigue Sagbo in the 100 meter dash, Sam Kepford in the mile run and Sam Kepford who won the 800 meter run.
