Thursday at the girls State Singles and Doubles Tennis Tournament at the University of Iowa, local girls have advanced the the doubles State Semi-Finals. Waverly-Shell Rock’s doubles team of Chelsea Poesch and Madi Overmann won two matches yesterday to advance to Friday’s State Semi-Finals where they will play Waterloo Columbus’ Brianne Eighme and Karlee Sinnott at 10:00. Lauren McManus and Taylor Hogan of Columbus also reached the State Semis. The Championship and Consolation Matches will both be played Friday at 1:30.
