Thursday at State Soccer in Class 2A action Union La Porte City beat Waverly-Shell Rock 7-2. The State’s all-time leading goal scorer Courtney Powell had 6 goals in the win. Union advances to Friday’s State Semi-finals. Waverly-Shell Rock ends its season with a 14-5 record.
