Wednesday night on KWAY Country Dubuque Wahlert edged Waverly-Shell Rock 1-0 for a Class 3A Sub-State Championship. The Golden Eagles scored their lone run in the 3rd inning to propel them to another State Tournament in Des Moines where they’ll take on Marion. It was the second year in a row that Waverly-Shell Rock has fallen to Dubuque Wahlert in Sub-State Baseball by one run. Waverly-Shell Rock finishes the year with a 26-9 record and a District title.
