Thursday night at the State Softball Tournament the Clarksville Indians won a thriller that went deep into the night. Clarksville and Sigourney were tied 2-2 in the 2nd inning when a lightening delay began. Following the lightening the Clarksville Indians won 15-12 in 9 innings to advance to Friday’s Class 1A State Championship Game. The Indians trailed 10-6 going into the 6th inning when they scored 6 in the inning. Sigourney then answered with 1 in each of the next two innings to force extras. Clarksville then scored 3 in the top of the 9th and held on to advance to the Championship Game. Clarksville will face Lansing Kee who beat Westwood 7-3. Here are the other Championship matchups in Fort Dodge: in Class 2A Iowa City Regina and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont face off, in Class 3A Davenport Assumption and Albia collide, in Class 4A Winterset plays Ballard and in Class 5A Waukee and Pleasant Valley play for the title.
