The Wartburg volleyball team was honored. Senior Aryn Jones repeated as the Iowa Conference MVP and Katie Foster of Charles City was named the IIAC Freshman of the Year. Wartburg’s Doug Frazell and Jennifer Walker also received the coaching staff of the year award.
In college basketball: the #8 Wartburg women defeated Upper Iowa 74-62 in a charity exhibition game Thursday night. Upper Iowa competes in NCAA Division II. All funds raised tonight will be donated to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.
