20-year-old Cameron Lensmeyer and and 20-year-old Evan Sage of Waverly have pleaded guilty to possessing carfentanil pills, Police say they found hundreds of pills when they searched their Cedar Falls apartment. The men say they bought the pills through a “dark web” marketplace and sold them to other people.
United States Attorney Peter E. Deegan, Jr. said.“Pills purchased off the Internet or from the street often contain drugs far more powerful and dangerous than the purchaser may realize. These pills can kill.”
Carfentanil is an elephant tranquilizer, and is not intended for humans to take. It is 10,000 times more potent than morphine.
