A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly stealing tools and materials from construction sites in Waterloo and Cedar Falls.
He is also accused of swiping stop signs from the police department.
Waterloo police arrested 40-year-old Sanel Jahic, of 807 Marsh St., on charges of ongoing criminal conduct and first- third- and fifth-degree theft. Bond was set at $46,000.
The arrest comes following weeks of investigation that included placing Jahic under surveillance. He is charged in connection with five thefts in April and May.
