Hy-Vee Inc. has issued a recall for its Hy-Vee brand Spring Pasta Salad due to the potential it may be contaminated with salmonella.
According to a release from the company, the potential contamination was brought to their attention Monday, when approximately 20 illnesses in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa were potentially linked back to customers who had consumed the salad. The voluntary recall is for the salads in both the 1 pound and 3 pound containers, and would have been available at the deli service cases between the dates of Jun 1, 2018, and July 13, 2018. The expiration dates on the packages range between June 22, 2018 and August 3, 2018, states the release.
Customers who have purchased the product are asked to dispose of it or return it to their locally Hy-Vee store for a refund.
