The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors have approved the sale of a nursing home previously run by the county. The Country View facility sale was approved Tuesday by a vote of 4-1. Pritok Capital, based out of Skokie, Illinois, purchased the nursing home for around $4 million. That is about $1.6 million below Pritok’s initial offer. The finer details are still being worked out between attorneys on either side. Still undecided is what will happen to current employees as the reduction in purchase price did not include a provision to keep those employees. Once the deal is finalized Dubuque county will be home to the State’s only county owned nursing home.
