The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has released information about an alleged abduction attempt Monday night in Dumont. The incident occurred on the old little league field where the track is located. The victim gave a description of the individual allegedly involved. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and deputies have interviewed Dumont residents, however, the Sheriff’s office has no conclusive evidence at this point. Butler County Sherrif Jason Johnson urges people to use safety precautions when out walking at night and that “stranger danger” training is always a good idea.
