A well-known Cedar Falls event center has a buyer, and they didn’t have to look far. Area Education Agency 267 is buying the Pipac Centre. The board of directors approved the deal last night, paying $4 million for the building.
AEA plans to move its headquarters there and use the facility for professional training for area educators.
The board plans to sell its 3 buildings on Cedar Heights Drive. It will hold a public hearing on that in the spring.
AEA 267 Chief Administrator Sam Miller says space has been long needed so that employees can under one roof as well as providing large-scale conference space for the thousands of teachers, parents and community members that are invited every year for training and meetings.
They expect to move in next July.
