Tuesday the Wartburg baseball team beat Luther 14-11 behind a 9th inning 3-run home run from Zach Walton. The second game of the doubleheader was suspended with Wartburg leading 3-1 in the 6th inning. It will be continued on April 5th.
A couple of Wartburg athletic programs are ranked. The Wartburg softball team has risen to 21st from 22nd, the Wartburg women’s track and field team is ranked 8th and the men’s team is ranked 12th in the first outdoor rankings of the season.
Wartburg tennis coach Chris Gustas recently collected his 69th win making him the winningest coach in men’s tennis history at Wartburg.
