Listen Tuesday night to Wapsie Valley Sub-State Championship Baseball on Y99.3. Tuesday evening the 20-6 Warriors will take on the 20-7 and 6th ranked Saint Ansgar Saints. The game will take place in Charles City. Pre-game at 6:45 and first pitch at 7:00. If the Warriors win they will join the Wapsie Valley softball team at State.
Monday night the Wapsie Valley softball team beat Don Bosco 14-2 in 4 innings. The Warriors have advanced to the State Tournament for the first time in 48 years.
Monday night on Y99.3 Clarksville softball took just 48 minutes to beat Riceville 11-1 in 4 innings. Paige Kampman went 3-3 with two doubles and an inside the park home run in the win.
On Tuesday the 22nd at 7:00 2-seed Clarksville will play 7-seed Mason City Newman on Y99.3 and at 7:30 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3 3-seed Wapsie Valley will face 6-seed St. Edmond of Fort Dodge at the Class 1A State Tournament.
