Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock basketball teams both won.
The Class 4A 9th ranked Go-Hawk girls beat Class 5A 15th ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy 39-32. The Go-Hawks go to 3-0 on the season despite Waverly-Shell Rock’s future Drake star Lizzie Frazell was injured in the beginning of the game.
In the boys game Waverly-Shell Rock got 21 points from Preston Baumhover as they beat Marion 67-56 to tip-off the season.
