As a Yankee legend has taken control of the Miami baseball operations it’s New York that is benefiting. Former Miami slugger and reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton was traded to the Yankees in exchange for Starlin Castro and a couple of prospects Monday. He said former Yankee and current Marlin front office member Derek Jeter wanted to subtract from the Marlins and he wanted out. The Yankees will now be one of the most powerful lineups in baseball, at least on paper, next year.
