Busy Sunday for Wartburg

Sunday in men’s golf, the Wartburg men’s golf team took second in the four-team field at the Iowa City Shootout with a 644. Iowa Wesleyan won the team title with a 615 and Jaime Suarez won the individual medalist with a 144. Freshman Landen Pace was the top finisher for the Knights in his first collegiate tournament. He tied for fifth with a 159.

Sunday in women’s golf, the Wartburg women’s golf team took 10th in the 16-team field at its own Fall Invite, with a 659. Senior Brooke Klostermann was the top finisher for the Knights as she tied for 10th with a 153. Carleton won the team title with a 593.

In men’s tennis, the Wartburg men’s tennis team fell 7-2 to Grand View University. The Knights won at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Sunday in Men’s soccer, the Wartburg men’s soccer team was defeated by Gustavus Adolphus College by a score of 2-1 in a game that required overtime to name a victor.

The Wartburg Knights women’s soccer team concluded their four-game road trip on Sunday in style with a triumphant 2-1 overtime victory over Gustavus Adolphus College.
