Cedar Falls Police have announced they recently took delivery of 42 new body cameras to equip their entire police force. The announcement comes after a fund-raising campaign which raised over $34,000 from the general public for the purchase and Public Safety Director Jeff Olson said the camera have a dual purpose, gathering evidence and providing officers with protection from false accusations. Every Cedar Falls police officer is expected to be equipped by January 1st.
