The Clarksville Community School District announced Wednesday that it was canceling the rest of its varsity football season beginning immediately. The school said they are experiencing low roster numbers and have many freshmen and sophomores starting. They also added that the quality of opponents made them have concern for the safety and well-being of the players. Clarksville just got its own program back after being combined with North Butler for the last two football seasons. Clarksville will play two more JV games and is looking for a third.
