Wednesday night on Y99.3 the Clarksville softball team fell to North Linn 2-1. The 2-seeded Lynx will play for a title against top-ranked Martensdale St. Mary’s, who beat Wayne 9-0, on Friday night and the 6-seeded Indians will face 4-seed Wayne Friday at 6:00 on Y99.3 for 3rd place.
In Class 2A softball: Regina crushed I-35 13-1 and Van Meter outlasted Central Springs 10-9 in the semifinals. In 3A semifinals: Williamsburg blanked Estherville-Lincoln Central 8-0 and Assumption edged Wahlert 7-5. In 4A: Winterset topped Fort Dodge 6-4 and North Scott beat Norwalk 6-4. In Class 5A: Ankeny Centennial beat Southeast Polk 11-1 and Pleasant Valley got by Muscatine 7-1.
