Clarksville Man Arrested

A Clarksville man has been arrested after a year long investigation, according to KIMT. 37 year old Drew Johnson was arrested after a brief struggle outside a home in Clarksville on Tuesday. Johnson initially attempted to flee from law enforcement into the home but was apprehended on a staircase. According to authorities, Johnson threw a baggie into a wood burning stove. That bag was later identified to contain methamphetamine. During the altercation with police, Johnson kicked the officers. He has been charged with possession of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, providing a place of gathering where drugs are being used, tampering with evidence, assault on a peace officer causing injury, possession of marijuana, possession of a prescription medication without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
