The Butler County Sheriff’s Office confirms a minor was killed in an accidental shooting in rural Clarksville.
They say this happened around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, May 10.
Clarksville EMS, Waverly Paramedics, Clarksville Police, Iowa State Patrol, and Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.
There were 3 people at the scene, and all of them were under the age of 18.
No names are being released at this time.
The boy who was shot died.
This case remains under investigation. According to posts on Facebook they deceased boy’s name is Kain Schild.
