Contest to Name New Rec Area

The City of Cedar Falls is holding a contest for the public to name the new Cedar River recreational area. The Cedar River Recreational Improvement Project began last year and united the Peter Melendy Park on the southside of the river and Gateway Park on the northside. The city says that it connects residents and visitors with the city, improves safety and accessibility, enhances aquatic life, and provides a variety of recreational opportunities including kayaking, canoeing, fishing holes for anglers, and paddling. You can visit cedarfalls.com in order to submit a name and learn more about the project.
